V grški mitologiji so ga predstavljali s krilatimi čevlji.

The work Flyingfeet by the Italian sculptor Annalù has initially drawn inspiration from the myth of Hermes, who is considered as the herald of dreams, keeper of doors, nocturnal spy and the consecrated messenger of gods. He was the one who brought souls from the world of living to the world of dead, a kind of a guardian angel. In Greek mythology, he was represented with winged shoes.
