Otvoritveni vikend 22. festivala sodobne umetnosti Art Stays je potekal med 4. in 7. julijem. Z bogatim spremljevalnim programom je odprl vrata vseh ptujskih in okoliških razstavišč, ki so vse do 8. septembra gostila likovna dela umetnikov iz vseh koncev sveta. Ptuj je tako ponovno bil poletna likovna prestolnica Slovenije!
Največji slovenski festival sodobne umetnosti Art Stays je s svojo 22. izdajo, naslovljeno Prostor (The Space) ponovno umetelno spojil kulturno dediščino mesta in sodobno umetniško produkcijo umetnikov iz vseh koncev sveta. Letošnja edicija se je spraševala kaj je prostor, o kakšnem prostoru govorimo in ali je tisto okoli nas res vse, kar obstaja.
Prizorišča 22. edicije festivala so bila: Galerija mesta Ptuj, Dominikanski samostan, Miheličeva galerija, Ptujski grad, Razstavišče Knjižnice Ivana Potrča Ptuj, Galerija Magistrat, Galerija FO.VI, razstavišče Kreativnega centra Breg, oder na Slovenskem trgu ter trgi in ulice starega mestnega jedra.
The opening weekend of the 22nd Art Stays Contemporary Art Festival took place between 4 and 7 July. With a rich accompanying programme, it opened the doors of all exhibition venues in Ptuj and the surrounding area, which hosted artworks by artists from all over the world until 8 September. Ptuj was once again the summer art capital of Slovenia!
The 22nd edition of Art Stays, Slovenia’s largest contemporary art festival, The Space, has once again artistically brought together the cultural heritage of the city and the contemporary artistic production of artists from all over the world. This year’s edition questioned what space is, what kind of space we are talking about and whether what is around us is really all there is.

The venues of the 22nd edition of the festival were: the Ptuj City Gallery, the Dominican Monastery, the Mihelič Gallery, the Ptuj Castle, the Exhibition Centre of the Ivan Potrč Library Ptuj, the Magistrat Gallery, the FO.VI Gallery, the exhibition centre of the Breg Creative Centre, the stage on the Slovenske trg square and the squares and streets of the old town centre.
