Zlitje sodobnih umetniških praks ter simbioza gostujočih mednarodnih umetnikov in domače izrazne produkcije je eden od temeljev Art Stays-a. Multimedialno delo francoske umetnice Béatrice Lartigue in svobodno, izrazno raziskovanje giba domače plesne skupnosti GEA bodo odprli letošnji 22. Festival sodobne umetnosti Art Stays.

The fusion of contemporary artistic practices and the symbiosis of international guest artists and local expressive production is one of the cornerstones of Art Stays. The multimedia work of French artist Béatrice Lartigue and the free, expressive exploration of movement of the GEA‘s local dance community will open this year’s 22nd Art Stays Contemporary Art Festival.

Précipitées je molekularna koreografija, oda neskončno majhnemu, skoraj ničemur, nevidnemu.
Précipitées je trenutek med nebom in zemljo.
Zvočne vibracije aktivirajo suspendirane delce ter neškodljivemu dogodku dodajo skrivnostnost in materialnost.
Kapljice, ki so padle z oblakov, bodo vzklile in se razvijale v ozračju.

Précipitées is a molecular choreography, an ode to the infinitely small, to almost nothing, to the invisible.
Précipitées is a suspended moment between heaven and earth.
The sound vibrations activate suspended particles, conferring mystery and materiality to a harmless event.
Fallen from the clouds, the drops will germinate and evolve in the atmosphere.

Béatrice Lartigue se od leta 2008 ukvarja s projekti na presečišču umetnosti, znanosti in tehnologije. Pri svojem delu raziskuje materializacijo nevidnih fizičnih dogodkov, tako da obiskovalce potopi v prostor, katerega pravila so deloma napisana, deloma pa šele nastajajo. Njeno prakso usmerja kritičen pogled na uporabo tehnologije v krhkem okoljskem kontekstu.Njena dela so bila razstavljena v centrih Barbican (London), Arsenal v Benetkah, Muzej Miraikan (Tokio), le Centre Pompidou (Pariz), la Gaîté Lyrique (Pariz), DMuseum (Seul), Times Art Museum (Peking), Photo Elysée (Lozana).

Since 2008, Béatrice Lartigue has been working on projects at the intersection of art, science and technology. Her work explores the materialisation of invisible physical events, by immersing visitors in a space whose rules are partly written and partly in the making. A critical perspective on the utilisation of technology in a fragile environmental context guides her practice.Her works were exhibited at the Barbican Centre (London), the Arsenal of Venice, the Miraikan Museum (Tokyo), le Centre Pompidou (Paris), la Gaîté Lyrique (Paris), the DMuseum (Seoul), the Times Art Museum (Beijing), Photo Elysée (Lausanne).

Plesna skupnost GEA združuje starejše in mlajše plesalce sodobnega, svobodnega ali izraznega plesa in raziskovalce giba na Ptuju. Ne gre le za plesno skupino, vendar za skupnost, ki se podpira in deli ter z vključujočnostjo odpira vrata vsakomur. Gre za skupnost, ki želi naslavljati družbene fenomene skozi gib in druge medije. Težijo k soustvarjalnem procesu, kjer vsak prispeva svoj del, svoj občutek, svojo misel in svoj gib.

The GEA Dance Community brings together older and younger dancers of contemporary, free or expressive dance and movement researchers in Ptuj. It is not just a dance group, but a community that supports and shares each other and opens its doors to everyone by being inclusive. It is a community that wants to address social phenomena through movement and other media. They strive for a co-creative process in which everyone contributes their part, their feeling, thought and movement.
